To honour some of these exceptional entrepreneurs, we honored them at the TEF Forum 2017<br \/>\nMeet some of our exceptional alumni here:<\/div>\n<div class=\"entry\">\n<p><strong><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tonyelumelufoundation.org\/uploads\/2017\/10\/37022383003_b3d7ddf34d_o-600x411.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"247\" alt=\"\">JOEL CHEROP<\/strong><br \/>\nJoel Cherop is a 2015 Ugandan Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur in Agribusiness.He is the Founder of\u00a0<strong>\u0645\u0628\u0627\u062f\u0631\u0629 \u0627\u0644\u0631\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0645\u062a\u0643\u0627\u0645\u0644 \u0644\u0646\u0647\u0631 \u0623\u062a\u0627\u0631\u064a<\/strong>, a horticulture and rice production venture aimed at identifying, training and seeding young people to begin their own agri-business ventures in a model dubbed\u00a0<strong>\u201cLearn as you earn\u201d.\u00a0<\/strong>They have championed efforts like organising irrigation master-classes in February to help mitigate effects of climate change. In 2016 they hosted His Excellency the President of Uganda to commission an irrigation project and highlight to government the need to scale its investment in irrigation infrastructure to mitigate effects of climate change &#8211; currently a threat to Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tonyelumelufoundation.org\/uploads\/2017\/10\/DAGE1221-600x400.jpg\" width=\"360\" height=\"240\" alt=\"\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>KWABENA DANSO<br \/>\n<\/strong>Kwabena Danso is a 2015 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur from Ghana.He is the Founder and CEO of\u00a0<strong>Booomers Intl<\/strong>, a company that manufactures\u00a0<strong>environmentally friendly bamboo bicycles and related products<\/strong>.\u00a0 Booomers provides more than 40 jobs directly to youth in the rural areas, which indirectly support more than 200 people, while engaging over 20 rural people indirectly through their supply chain, including the harvesting of bamboo, sourcing of sisal fiber and other local components. Booomers has provided over 400 children with scholarships and in 2016, they supported over 150 children in rural areas with access to bikes as a means of transport to school with support from UNICEF.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4300 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tonyelumelufoundation.org\/uploads\/2017\/10\/37022383583_c1382d2dfa_o-600x351.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"361\" height=\"211\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>HOUSSEYNATOU DIALLO<\/strong><br \/>\nHousseynatou Diallo is a 2016 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur from Senegal and founder of\u00a0<strong>BAAXU MAAM COMPANY<\/strong>. Baaxu Maam specializes in the production of 100% natural local fruit juices, without additives or preservatives to combat the rising prevelance of heart diseases caused by such chemicals in food.<br \/>\nThe Baaxu Maam Company offers a wide range of local African products such as Bissap; Tamarind and Ginger which improves life expectancy and quality.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4298 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tonyelumelufoundation.org\/uploads\/2017\/10\/23839728588_ebabc00c58_o-600x350.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"322\" height=\"188\"><strong>NKEM OKOCHA<\/strong><br \/>\nNkem Okocha is a 2015 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur from Nigeria.<br \/>\nShe is the Founder of\u00a0<strong>\u0645\u0627\u0645\u0627\u0645\u0648\u0646\u064a<\/strong>, a Fintech Social Enterprise, which provides a platform for individuals to invest in\u00a0<strong>under-served women<\/strong>, by lending to them at\u00a0<strong>affordable rates to fund their businesses<\/strong>.\u00a0 This enables them to increase their livelihood income and break the cycle of poverty. Mamamoni has empowered over\u00a04,000 women since inception<\/p>\n<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4299 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tonyelumelufoundation.org\/uploads\/2017\/10\/37022383953_5da3ff521a_o-600x378.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"227\"><\/strong><strong>AHMED ABASS<br \/>\n<\/strong>Ahmed Abass is a 2015 Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur from Egypt, and founder\u00a0<strong>of SunCity Energy<\/strong>.Sun City Energy is an Egyptian Startup that develops, builds and commercializes Mobile Solar Pumps to fulfil an existing need in the agriculture market.\u00a0 Their innovation is targeting the 500 millions of one-acre farmers across the world who mostly use diesel pumps to irrigate their fields. With the rising oil prices due to phase out of energy subsidies, their Mobile Solar Pump is replacing conventional diesel pumps.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4306 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tonyelumelufoundation.org\/uploads\/2017\/10\/VITAL-600x400.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"361\" height=\"240\"><strong>VITAL SOUNOUVOU<br \/>\n<\/strong>Vital Sounouvou is a 2015 ICT Tony Elumelu Entrepreneur from BENIN REPUBLIC.\u00a0 His business,\u00a0<strong>\u0627\u0644\u062a\u0635\u062f\u064a\u0631<\/strong>\u00a0is an exclusive virtual market that organizes and manages B2C and B2B trade in Africa.\u00a0 He made an open pitch at the 2015 TEF Entrepreneurship Forum and was introduced to UBA Benin. He pursued that lead and today has successfully deployed\u00a0\u00a0<strong>XportCards,\u00a0<\/strong>making Exportunity the first e-trade platform in the ECOWAS region, which have the U-COLLECT payment collection solution from UBA.
