Welcome to the final webinar of this 6-part masterclass. We looked at the essential role that project management plays through strategy, risk management, agility and power skills in entrepreneurship. In this final installment, participants will engage with each other about practical aspects they can apply within their organizations – based on all topics in the masterclass series. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A with subject matter experts.

 

Meet the Facilitators

 

Stephen Townsend

Stephen Townsend

Stephen Townsend is PMI’s Networks Engagement Facilitator. In this capacity, he has led several PMI transformation work-streams and is currently developing a global subject matter expert network to support PMI’s efforts to promote effective project delivery. Stephen has worked within PMI since 1999 in the areas of member services; chapter/community relations; business/government relations; strategic alliances; and global development.

Stephen is an expert in the field of project management and has exceptional knowledge on how organizations, whether large or small, can maximize their execution potential through project management.

 

Dr Precious Lunga

Dr Precious Lunga

Dr Precious Lunga is the CEO and Co-Founder of Baobab Circle which developed the award-winning digital health platform Afya Pap for managing chronic health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension using mobile phones.

They are currently working with governments across Africa to ensure continuity of care during the COVID-19 pandemic using their digital tools. She was previously at Econet Wireless where she established Econet Health. Other roles have included working in biotechnology research and development, clinical trials and policy implementation.

Dr Lunga has held positions as an advisor at UNAIDS Geneva and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation. She trained as an epidemiologist and now sits on the boards of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, the UK Medical Research Council and the Malaria Consortium. She has a PhD in Neuroscience from Cambridge University and is a Yale World Fellow.

 

Dr. Lambert Ofoegbu

Dr. Lambert Ofoegbu

Dr. Lambert Ofoegbu is the current President of the Project Management Institute (PMI), Nigeria Chapter. He started his career in the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) infrastructure development. He equally consulted across industries such as FMCG, ICT, Agro Business, Oil & Gas, Telecoms, Energy, etc., thereby possessing a grounded, evidence-based experience of esteemed customers to the Financial Sector Ecosystem.

He participated in a change management intervention for the Central Bank of Nigeria Enterprise PMO initiative. His cocktail of professional certifications reflects the multi-dynamic capabilities in the emerging world-class knowledge that transcends the 21st-century in realizing Strategic and Operational Initiatives.

He brings 30 years of experience in transcending ideas to realities using the portfolio, program, and project management (p3m) dexterity in strategy formulation and deployment, organizational behavior, organizational change leadership, and integrating corporate strategy across lean- agile and optimal operating systems.

Dr. Ofoegbu is a scholar-practitioner with notable experience in leading complex change projects, challenging the conventional cultures with the changing face of leadership amid complexities, systems thinking, sustainability, and adaptive changes. Lambert’s doctoral-level experience in Management has honed his higher-order levels of critical skills for Multicultural Leadership, Systems Thinking, Stockholders’ and Communications Management; All-inclusive Sustainability; Decision-making; Positive Social Change. Dr. Ofoegbu is the theorist of “Emotional Extent Effects” (EEE). He co-developed PMI’s global practice standards for Competency Development Framework; Project Risk Management; Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3); Construction Industry Extension to the Project Management Body of Knowledge.

He is currently attending the 2020 Session of PMI Leadership Institute’s Masters Class (LIMC).
