The Vice President of Nigeria, H.E Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, addressed the audience from the public sector. Also speaking at the event were Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Yusuf Tuggar;  the Minister of Works and Housing of Nigeria, Hon.

Tunde Fashola; H.E. Birgitt Ory, German Ambassador to Nigeria, Hon. Saleh Mamman, Minister of Power of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Yemi Keri, Member of the Board of

Nigerian-German Chamber of Commerce  among others who highlighted the bilateral economic opportunities available to Germany and Nigeria. 

At the forum, Ifeyinwa said: “Over the last 10 years, we have consistently demonstrated the belief that empowering African entrepreneurs is the most important investment that we can impart on the continent,” she said.

“With over 1million Africans connected to business opportunities and marketing linkages through TEFConnect, the Tony Elumelu Foundation continues to advocate that African entrepreneurship is the only catalyst for sustainable development on the continent,” she continued.

Hosted by the Afrika-Verein der deutschen Wirtschaft, the German-African Business Association (AV) is a national, cross-section of foreign trade association for German businesses and institutions, interested in economic collaboration with countries in Africa.

At the event, the CEO, Africa-Verein, Christopher Kannengiesser, said, “We are very thankful for the work of the Tony Elumelu Foundation.”
