Rilwan Teslim-Layeni: Driving Digital Education and Job-Ready Skills Through ICAN Online Tutors
In 2016, Rilwan joined the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme with MiddleMan, a platform built to connect buyers and sellers, still in its idea stage and competing in a space where rivals had already raised hundreds of millions of dollars. The Programme gave him the headstart he needed to believe in his vision and take the leap.
Today, that leap has led somewhere remarkable. Rilwan is now the founder of ICAN Online Tutors, transforming professional accounting education in Nigeria through technology. His data-driven EdTech platform delivers personalised learning, exam preparation, and skills development for aspiring accountants and professionals across the country.
From a raw idea to a fully realised solution reshaping how Nigerians access professional education. This is what the right support at the right time can do.

Our Founder Once Said…
Our Founder Mr. Tony O. Elumelu CFR once said “Success in entrepreneurship is the outcome of a series of short-term successes and failures.”
Entrepreneurship isn’t about never failing; it’s about never giving up. What keeps you going when things don’t go as planned?
Earlier this week, our CEO, Somachi Chris-Asoluka welcomed Abena Biney, Deloitte West Africa Chief Sustainability Officer and Audit Partner at Deloitte Ghana, alongside her delegation, to the Tony Elumelu Foundation.

Mary Msigwa: Growing Prosperity Through Climate-Smart Farming in Tanzania
Mary launched CAM3 Estate Company in 2024 to champion sustainable horticulture and empower smallholder farmers in Dodoma, Tanzania. Through CAM3 Horticultural Farm, she integrates climate-smart practices like drip irrigation, organic pest control, crop rotation, and solar-powered water pumping to reduce environmental impact and improve food security.
Operating on a 1-acre farm, CAM3 has become a hub for vegetable, fruit, and seedling production, while also offering nursery services, agri-tourism (farm tours), and youth training programs. By purchasing and storing produce from smallholder farmers—especially women—CAM3 helps reduce post-harvest losses and ensures fair market prices, boosting rural incomes.
Since its establishment, CAM3 has trained young farmers in sustainable agriculture, cut carbon emissions by 20% through solar-powered systems, and positioned itself as a model for eco-friendly agribusiness in Central Tanzania.
