Blue Sands Academy is an award winning educational technology institution that creates life changing opportunities and provides career fulfillment for young girls in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large. We place special focus on youths, especially girls, around us by training them in Computer Programming, UI/UX (User Interaction & User Experience) design, Animations, Graphics Design etc. for a fee. We also introduce them into tech competitions where they get to pitch their ideas before investors. We do this to achieve the three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) we have targeted which are SDG 4-Quality Education, SDG 5-Gender Equality and SDG 1-No Poverty. Our mission is to build young girls today who will become responsible women tomorrow through actively empowering them with ICT and leadership skills. We have been able to equip over 3000 girls with digital skills and also introduce them to national and international ICT competitions.
