Shatho Phakama
Shatho Phakama, an agripreneur from Botswana started Unique Waves Ventures (Pty) Ltd and formulated a maintenance ration for beef animals using locally available worms as a source of protein.
Shatho aims to manufacture animal feed for all livestock using locally available resources hence making the feed cheaper and thereby helping farmers buy feed at a lower cost.
Shatho was sponsored by the AFDB in 2019.
