Smallholder farmers in last mile communities have to travel extensively to district or regional capital to procure inputs for their farms and transport back into their communities, this has increase their cost of production by 30% and reduce their crop yields by 20% since these farmers are not able to procure the needed inputs on time. FarmerTribe provides timely access to agricultural inputs (Seeds, fertilizer and Crop protection products), training (both off farm and on farm) and extension services to smallholder farmers in these last mile communities. FarmerTribe works with these farmers from Land Preparation till they turn their harvested products into cash. We currently work with over 7,000 smallholder farmers, our goal is earnable smallholder farmers to buy their farm inputs and schedule extension services at the comfort of their homes at no additional cost.
