How long have you been running your business
What led him to be an entrepreneur:
Intellectual curiosity propelled Adeolu to learn and master the art of phone/laptop repairs while in the university.
Even if this is unrelated to his course of study which was veterinary medicine, he continued to persevere as it served as an additional source of income as a student.
Exactly 3 years after graduation, he decided to put his university knowledge to use and develop his own animal healthcare solution provider. He recognised the need to have funds to implement an idea and was not discouraged even when he was not selected to the TEFEP in 2015 when it was launched. He was happy to be selected in 2018.
Before the intervention: He had two workers.
After the intervention: He now has five workers.
Before the intervention: He was making less than 2,500 dollars per annum.
After the intervention: He now makes 10,000 dollars per annum.
Milestone achieved after the intervention
Before TEFEP, he had less than 20 animal owners and animal healthcare service providers but after the programme, the platform now has the database of all veterinary doctors in Nigeria and also has about 500 animal owners and records about 35 new visitors everyday as well about 200 returning users. Upgrade of the platform is on-going and survey have been administered to users to tailor the services to their needs.
